The children of Asher were these: Jemnah, Jezva, Jezwi, Briah, and Zerah their sister.

And the sons of Briah were: Heber and Malchiel, which is the father of Birzavith.

And Heber begat Japhlet, and Somer, and Hotham, and Sua their sister.

The children of Japhelet were: Passover, Bimehal, and Ashvath; these were the children of Japhelet.

And the sons of Somer were: Ahi, Rahga, Jehuba and Aram.

And the sons of his brother Helem were: Jophah, Jemnah, Seles, and Amal.

And the children of Zophah were: Suah, Harnepher, Sual, Beri, Jemra, 37. Bezer, Hod, Sama, Silsa, Jethran and Beera.

The children of Jether were: Jephunneh, Phispa, and Ara.

And the sons of Ullah were: Arah, Haniel and Riziah.

These were all the sons of Asher, heads of the house of their fathers, chosen men of valour, and heads of princes. And they were numbered in the host to the battle, according to their number, twenty and six thousand men.

The house of Benjamin and Saul.

And Benjamin begat Bela his first son, and Asbal his second, and Ahrah his third, 2. Noha the fourth, Rapha the fifth.

And Bela had children; Addar, and Gera, and Abihud,

Abisua, Naeman, Ahoah,

Gera, Sephuphan and Huram.

These are the sons of Ehud, which were heads of the fathers of the inhabitants of Geba, and went away to Manahath:

Namely, Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera, he led them away; and he begat Uzzah and Ahihud.

And Saharaim bare witness in the land of Moab (when he had sent them away) of Husim and Baerah his wives.

And he testified of Hodes his wife, Jobab, Zibiah, Mesa, Malcham, 10: Jeuz, Zechiah, and Mirma. These are his children, heads of the fathers.

And from Husim he begat Abitob and Elpaal.

And the sons of Elpaal were: Eber, Miseam and Samed. And he built Ono, and Lod, and their daughters.

And Briah and Sama were heads of the fathers among the people of Aijalon; they drove out those of Gath.

Samzerai, Sehariah, Athaliah;

Jaeresiah, and Elijah, and Zichri: they are the sons of Jeroham.

These are the heads of the fathers of their families, which dwelt at Jerusalem.

And in Gibeon dwelt the father of Gibeon; and his wife’s name was Maechah.

And his first son was Abdon, Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab,

Gedor, Ahjo and Secher.

And Mikloth begat Shimea; and they dwelt with them against their brethren at Jerusalem.

Ner begat Kish. Kish begat Saul. Saul begat Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esbaal.

And the son of Jonathan was Meribaal. Meribaal begat Micah.

And the sons of Micah were: Pithon, Melech, Thaerea and Ahaz.

And Ahaz begat Joaddah. And Joadda begat Alemeth, and Asmaveth, and Zimri. Simri begat Moza.

Moza begat Binea; his son’s son was Rapha; his son’s son was Eleasa; his son’s son was Azel.

And Azel had six sons, whose names were Esrikam, and Bochru, and Ishmael, and Sheariah, and Obadiah, and Hanan. They were all the sons of Azel.

And the sons of Ulam were mighty men, and skilled with bows: and they had many sons, and

Inhabitants of Jerusalem and Gibeon.

And all Israel were reckoned, and, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, and are now carried away to Babylon for their iniquity, 2. Who dwelt before in their goods and cities, even Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, and the Nethinims.

And there dwelt at Jerusalem some of the children of Judah, and some of the children of Benjamin, and some of the children of Ephraim and Manasseh.

Namely, of the sons of Perez the son of Judah was Uthai the son of Ammihud, the son of Amri, the son of Imri, the son of Bani.

And of Shiloni, Asaiah the first son, and his other sons.

Of the children of Zerah: Jeguel and his brethren, six hundred and ninety.

Of the sons of Benjamin; Shallu the son of Meshullam, the son of Hodaviah, the son of Haznua;

And Jebneiah the son of Jeroham; and Elah the son of Uzzi the son of Michri; and Meshullam the son of Shephatiah the son of Reguel the son of Jebneiah.

And their brethren in their families, nine hundred and fifty and six. All these men were heads of the fathers in the house of their fathers.

And of the priests, Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin;

And Azariah the son of Hilkiah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Zadok, the son of Meraioth, the son of Ahitub, a prince in the house of GOD;

And Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah; and Maesai the son of Adiel, the son of Jachzerah, the son of Meshullam, the son of Meshillemith, the son of Immer.

And their brethren, heads of the house of their fathers, a thousand seven hundred and threescore men of valour in the work of the service of the house of God.

And of the Levites, of the sons of Merari; Shemaiah the son of Hashub, the son of Azrikam, the son of Hashabiah.

And Bakbakar the carpenter, and Galal, and Mathaniah the son of Micah, the son of Zichri, the son of Asaph.

And Obadiah the son of Shemaiah, the son of Galal, the son of Jeduthun; and Berechiah the son of Asa, the son of Elkanah, which dwelt in the villages of the Netophathites.

And the porters were: Shallum, Akub, Talmon, Ahiman with their brothers, and Shallum the chief.

For hitherto at the king’s gate toward the going up had waited the children of Levi with camps.

And Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Abiassaph, the son of Korah, and his brethren of his father’s house, the Korhites, in the business of the tabernacle, waited at the threshold of the tabernacle; and their fathers in the camp of the LORD waited for the entrance.

And Phinehas the son of Eleazar was ruler over them, because the LORD had been with him before.

And Zechariah the son of Meshelemiah was keeper of the gate of the tabernacle of the congregation.

All these were chosen to be keepers of the threshold, two hundred and twelve, which were numbered in their villages. And David and Samuel the seer established them by their faith, 23. That they and their children should keep the house of the LORD, even the house of the tabernacle, to keep it.

And there were such porters set against the four winds; against the east, and against the west, and against the north, and against the south.

And their brethren were in their villages, to come in every seventh day, to be with them always.

For the Levites were trusted unto these four chief porters, and they were over the chests and treasures of the house of God.

And they tarried for the night round about the house of God: for it behoved them that they should rise up every morning.

And some of them were over the instruments of the ministry: for they numbered them out and in.

And some of them were appointed over the vessels, and over all the holy vessels, over fine flour, and over wine, and over oil, and over incense, and over burnt incense.

But the children of the priests made some of the incense.

And Mathithiah of the Levites, the first son of Shallum the Korhite, was trusted with the pans.

And of the Kohathites, their brethren, the shewbread was to be prepared, and they prepared it all the sabbath day.

These are the singers, the chief of the fathers of the Levites, set apart over the castes: for they were in the business day and night.

These are the heads of the fathers of the Levites in their families. These dwelt at Jerusalem.

And Jeiel the father of Gibeon dwelt at Gibeon; and his wife’s name was Maechah, 36. And his first son Abdon, Zur, Kis, Baal, Ner, Nadab,

Gedor, Ahjo, Zechariah, Mikloth.

And Mikloth begat Simeam; and they also dwelt about their brethren at Jerusalem among their own.
