For they of Macedonia and Achaia have willingly laid a common tax together for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.

They have done it willingly, and are also their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual goods, it is right that they should give them prove service also in bodily goods.

When therefore I have performed these things, and have sealed unto them this fruit, I will go through you into Spain.

But I know, when I come unto you, that I shall come with the full blessing of the gospel of Christ.

Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye help me to fight, praying for me unto God,

That I may be saved from the unbelievers that are in Judea, and that my service which I do toward Jerusalem may be acceptable unto the saints,

That I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and be refreshed with you.

But the GOD of peace be with you all! Amen.

For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wise words, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.

For the word of the cross is foolishness to them that perish: but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will reject the understanding of the prudent.

Where are the wise? Where are the scribes? Where are the worldly wise? Has not God made the wisdom of this world foolishness?

For because the world by its wisdom knew not God in his wisdom, it pleased God by foolish preaching to save them that believe,

For the Jews ask for signs, and the Greeks for wisdom.

But we preach Christ crucified, a stumblingblock to the Jews, and foolishness to the Greeks: 24. But to them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, we preach Christ divine power and wisdom.

For godly foolishness is wiser than men are, and godly weakness is stronger than men are.

Consider, brethren, your calling: not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.

But whatsoever is foolish in the sight of the world, that hath God chosen to destroy the wise: and whatsoever is weak in the sight of the world, that hath God chosen to destroy that which is strong;

And that which was base before the world, and that which was despised, hath God chosen, and that which is not, to destroy that which is,

That no flesh should glory before him.

And I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with high words or wisdom to preach unto you the divine preaching.

For I thought not that I knew any thing among you, save Jesus Christ crucified.

And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in great trembling.

And my word and my preaching was not in reasoning discourses of human wisdom, but in moving of the Spirit and of power,

That your faith may not be in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

But what we speak of is wisdom in the perfect; not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, which perish;

but We speak of the secret, hidden wisdom of God, which God ordained before the world for our glory,

Which none of the rulers of this world knew: for if they had known them, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory;

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, which God hath prepared for them that love him.

But unto us God hath revealed it by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the depths of the Godhead.

For what man knoweth that which is in man, without the spirit of man which is in him? So
also no one knows what is in God without the Spirit of God.

Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, that we might know the things which are given us of God.
