If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand be forgotten.

Such knowledge is too strange and too high for me; I cannot understand it.

Deliver me, O LORD, from evil men: keep me from the wicked,

Who think evil in their hearts, and stir up war daily.

They sharpen their tongue like a serpent; adder’s venom is under their lips. Sela.

Keep me, O LORD, from the hand of the wicked: keep me from the transgressors, that seek to overthrow my course.

The proud have spread me ropes for a net, and have set traps in my way. Sela.

But I say unto the LORD, Thou art my God: O LORD, hear the voice of my supplications.

O Lord, my strong help, thou shieldest my head in the time of battle.

O LORD, let not the wicked have his covetousness: strengthen not his indignation: they will rise up. Sela.

Let the calamities of which mine enemies counsel fall upon their heads.

a psalm of David. O LORD, I cry unto thee; make haste unto me; hear my voice when I call upon thee.

Let my prayer be accepted before thee as an incense, and the lifting up of my hands as an evening sacrifice.

O LORD, keep my mouth, and keep my lips.

Incline not mine heart unto any evil, to lead an ungodly life with the transgressors, that I eat not of that which is dear unto them.

The righteous smite me kindly, and punish me: it shall do me good as a balm upon my head.
For I pray always that they do me no hurt.

Their teachers must be overthrown upon a rock: then shall my doctrine be heard, that it may be sweet.

Our bones are scattered as far as hell, as one that scattereth and scattereth the earth.

For in thee, O Lord, do mine eyes look; I trust in thee: forsake not my soul.
