shall good things come: but to him that seeketh evil things shall evil things come.

Useful rules of life and sayings.

He that loveth to be punished shall be wise: but he that loveth to be unpunished shall be a fool.

He that is pious receiveth comfort from the LORD: but a reprobate condemneth himself.

A diligent woman is a crown to her husband: but an un-diligent woman is a pus in his bones.

The thoughts of the righteous are upright: but the devices of the wicked are deceitfulness.

The preaching of the wicked maketh bloodshed: but the mouth of the upright delivereth.

Some are poor by great goods; and some are rich by their poverty.

Praise for cleverness in human life.

By wise women is the house built up; but a foolish woman breaketh it up with her doings.

Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean: but where the ox is busy, there is much revenue.
