The waves of the sea are great, and roar exceedingly: but the LORD is greater in the height.
Thy word is a right doctrine. Holiness is the ornament of thy house for ever.

Prayer against the enemies of the church.
O Lord God, who is vengeance, God, who is vengeance, appear!
Arise, thou judge of the world: recompense to the proud their due.
O LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the ungodly boast?
And speak so defiantly, and all evildoers boast so?
O LORD, they smite thy people, and afflict thine inheritance.
widows and strangers strangle them, and kill the fatherless (
Saying, The LORD seeth it not, and the God of Jacob regardeth it not.
Mark you, ye fools of the people, and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that made the eye, shall he not see?
He that chasteneth the heathen, shall he not chasten? he that teacheth men what they know.
But the LORD knoweth the thoughts of men, that they are vain.
Blessed is he whom thou, O LORD, chastenest, and teachest by thy law, 13. That he may have patience in the day of evil, until the pit be prepared for the wicked.
For the LORD will not cast off his people, nor forsake his inheritance.
For the law must be the law, and all godly hearts will fall unto it.
Who shall stand with me against the wicked? Who shall stand with me against the workers of iniquity?
If the LORD help me not, my soul shall lie in silence.
And I said, My foot stumbled; but thy mercy, O LORD, kept me.
I had many sorrows in my heart: but thy consolations made my soul glad.
Thou shalt never be one with the pernicious chair, which interpreteth the law falsely.
They prepare themselves against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.
But the LORD is my refuge; my God is the stronghold of my confidence.

The Messiah is to be thanked and obeyed.
Come ye near, and let us rejoice in the LORD, and shout for joy to the stronghold of our salvation.
Let us come before his face with thanksgiving, and with psalms let us shout for him.
For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
For in his hand is that which the earth bringeth forth; and the high places of the mountains are his also.
For his is the sea, and he hath made it; and his hands have prepared the dry land.
Come, let us worship, and kneel, and fall down before the LORD that made us.
For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. This day, if ye hear his voice,
Then harden not your heart, as it was in Meribah, as it was in Massa in the wilderness,

Of the new song of the holy gospel.
Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth!
Sing unto the LORD, and praise his name; preach one day upon another his salvation.
Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all nations.
For the LORD is great and greatly to be praised, marvellous above all gods.
For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD hath made heaven.
It is glorious and marvellous before him; it is mighty and glorious in his sanctuary.
O ye nations, bring unto the LORD, bring unto the LORD glory and power.
Bring ye hither unto the LORD the glory of his name; bring ye gifts, and come into his courts.
To the LORD in holy ornaments; let all the earth fear him.
Say among the heathen that the LORD is king, and hath prepared his kingdom, as far as the earth is, to abide in it, and judgeth the nations aright.
Be glad, and let the earth rejoice; let the sea roar, and all that is therein; 12. Let the field be glad, and all that is therein: and let all the trees of the forest praise.
Before the LORD: for he cometh, because he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the earth with righteousness, and the nations with his truth.

Of Christo and his kingdom.
The LORD is king: let the earth rejoice, and let the isles be glad, as many as are therein.
Clouds and darkness are round about him. Righteousness and judgment is the stronghold of his throne:
Fire goeth before him, and kindleth his enemies round about.
His lightnings shall shine upon the ground: the earth shall see, and be afraid.
Mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the ruler of all the earth.
the heavens declare his righteousness, and all nations behold his glory.
Let all them be ashamed that serve images, and that boast of idols. Worship him, all gods!
Zion heareth, and is glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoice, O LORD, in thy government.
For thou, O LORD, art the most high in all the earth: thou art greatly exalted above all gods.
Ye that love the LORD, hate evil. The LORD preserveth the souls of his saints: from the hand of the wicked shall he deliver them.
The light must always dawn upon the righteous, and joy upon the devout heart.
Ye righteous, rejoice in the LORD; and give thanks unto him, and glorify his holiness.

Exhortation to the praise of Christ.
A psalm. Sing unto the LORD a new song: for he doeth wonders. He triumpheth with his right hand, and with his holy arm.
The LORD hath declared his salvation, and hath shewed his righteousness before the nations.
He remembereth his mercy and truth unto the house of Israel. The ends of the earth behold the salvation of our God.
Rejoice unto the LORD, all the earth: sing, praise, and extol.
Praise the LORD with harps, with harps, and with psalms;
With trumpets and trumpets shout for joy before the Lord the King.
The sea roareth, and that which is therein, the ground, and they that dwell therein.
Let the rivers rejoice, and let all the mountains be glad.
Before the LORD: for he cometh to judge the earth. He shall judge the earth with righteousness, and the nations with judgment.

Of the nature of Christ’s kingdom.
The LORD is king, therefore the nations rage: he sitteth upon cherubims, therefore the world
stirs.
The LORD is great in Zion, and high above all nations.
thanks be unto thy great and marvellous name, which is holy.
In the kingdom of this king is justice loved. Thou givest godliness; thou establishest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
Exalt the LORD our God, worship at his footstool: for he is holy.
Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name: they cried unto the LORD, and he hearkened unto them.
He spake unto them by a pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies and commandments which he gave them.
O LORD, thou art our God, thou hast heard them; thou, O God, hast forgiven them, and hast punished their doings:

Serve the LORD with gladness; come before his face with joy.

For the LORD is good, and his mercy endureth for ever, and his truth for ever.

A psalm of David. Of grace and judgment will I sing, and praise thee, O LORD.
I will deal carefully and truly with them that are mine, and walk faithfully in my house.
I take no evil thing for myself. I hate the transgressor and will not let him stay with me.
A wicked heart must depart from me: I will not suffer the wicked.
He that slandereth his neighbour in secret, him will I destroy. I do not like him who is proud and bold.
Mine eyes are upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: and I delight to have godly servants.
I will not keep men in my house: liars do not prosper with me.
Early will I destroy all the wicked of the land, and cut off all the transgressors from the city of the LORD.
