a psalm of David. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and that which is within me, his holy name.

Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not the good things which he hath done thee, 3. Who forgiveth all thy sins, and healeth all thine infirmities, 4. Who redeemeth thy life from destruction, who crowneth thee with grace and mercy, 5. Who maketh thy mouth to rejoice, and thou shalt be young again as the eagle.

The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment unto all that are wronged.

He hath made known his ways unto Moses, and his doings unto the children of Israel.

Merciful and gracious is the LORD, patient, and of great kindness.

He shall not always be angry, nor hold wrath for ever.

He dealeth not with us according to our sins, neither recompenseth us according to our iniquities.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so he hath mercy on them that fear him.

As far as the morning is from the evening, let our transgression be from us.

As a father hath mercy on his children, so hath the LORD mercy on them that fear him.

For he knoweth what manner of things we are: he remembereth that we are dust.

A man in his life is as grass; he flourisheth as a flower of the field.

When the wind passeth over it, it is no more, neither knoweth it any more the place thereof.

But the mercy of the LORD endureth for ever upon them that fear him, and his righteousness upon the children of children.

In them that keep his covenant, and remember his commandments, to do them.

The LORD hath prepared his throne in heaven, and his kingdom ruleth over all.

Praise ye the LORD, O ye his angels, ye mighty men of valour, which do his commandment, that the voice of his word may be heard.

Praise ye the LORD, all ye his hosts, his servants, which do his will.

Praise God from the Book of Nature.

Praise the LORD, O my soul. O LORD my God, thou art very glorious; thou art beautifully and splendidly adorned.

Light is thy garment which thou hast put on. You spread out the sky like a carpet; 3. thou archest it above with water; thou goest upon the clouds as upon a chariot, and walkest upon the wings of the wind.

Who makest thine angels winds, and thy servants flames of fire;

Thou that layest the foundation of the earth upon his ground, that it may abide for ever and ever.

With the deep thou coverest it as with a garment, and waters stand upon the mountains.

But from thy rebuke they flee, from thy thunder they go away.

The mountains go up, and the broad places come down to the place which thou hast founded for them.

you have set a boundary, they do not come over it, and do not have to cover the ground again.

Thou hast caused wells to spring up in the valleys, and the waters to flow between the mountains,

That all the beasts of the field may drink, and that the beasts of the field may quench their thirst.

In the same sit the birds of the air, and sing under the branches.

Thou dost wet the mountains from above; thou makest the land full of fruit which thou makest.

The trees of the LORD are full of sap, the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted.

There the birds make their nests, and the herons dwell in the fir trees.

the high mountains are the refuge of the chamois, and the clefts of the rabbits.

Thou makest the moon to divide the year after; the sun knoweth her going down.

Thou makest darkness, and night cometh; and all the wild beasts stir up, 21. The young lions that roar after the prey, and seek their meat from GOD.

But when the sun riseth, they lift themselves up, and lie down in their holes.

So man goeth forth to his work, and to his labour, until the even.

O LORD, how great and abundant are thy works! Thou hast wisely arranged them all, and the earth is full of thy goods.

The sea, which is so great and wide, teemeth without number, both beasts great and small.

There go the ships: there are whales which thou hast made to jest within.

All things wait for thee, that thou mayest give them meat in his season.

When thou givest unto them, they gather: when thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.

When thou hidest thy face, they are afraid; when thou takest away their breath, they perish, and return to dust.

Thou sendest forth thy breath, and they are made; and thou renewest the form of the earth.

The glory of the LORD is everlasting: the LORD is well pleased with his works.

He looketh upon the earth, and it quaketh: he toucheth the mountains, and they smoke.

I will sing unto the LORD all the days of my life, and praise my God as long as I live.

Let my speech please him. I rejoice in the LORD.

Let there be an end of sinners on earth, and let the wicked be no more! Praise the Lord, my soul! Hallelujah!

Short chronicle from Abraham to Joshua.

Give thanks unto the LORD, and preach his name; declare his doings among the nations; 2. Sing of him, and praise him; speak of all his wonders;

Praise his holy name; let the heart of them that seek the LORD rejoice.

Inquire ye of the LORD, and of his power; seek his face always.

Remember his wondrous works which he hath done, his miracles, and his word, 6. You, the seed of Abraham his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones!

He is the LORD our God: he judgeth in all the earth.

He remembereth his covenant for ever, the word which he promised for many thousands to come and to go.

Which he made with Abraham, and of the oath with Isaac, 10. And established the same Jacob for a law, and Israel for an everlasting covenant.

And said, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance, 12. For they were few and poor, and strangers within.

And they went from nation to nation, from kingdom to kingdom.

He suffered no man to harm them, and punished kings for their sakes.

do not touch my anointed, and do not harm my prophets.

And he caused a famine to come into the land, and took away all the supply of bread.

They constrained his feet in the stocks, and his body was made to lie in irons, 19. Till his word came, and the speech of the LORD purified him.

And the king sent, and loosed him: and the lord of nations loosed him.

And he made him lord of his house, and ruler over all his goods, 22. That he might instruct his princes after his manner, and teach his ancients wisdom.

And Israel went into Egypt, and Jacob was a stranger in the land of Ham.

And he increased his people greatly, and made them mightier than their enemies.

He turned away their hearts, so that they were angry with his people, and thought to subdue his servants with guile.

And he sent his servant Moses, Aaron, whom he had chosen.

These did his signs among them, and his wonders in the land
